Ocotillo Practice Policies
Annual Exam
An annual exam is required once yearly for all patients of Ocotillo Internal Medicine. The annual exam is a designated time to review all problems, medications and ensure that all cancer screening and other preventive measures are up to date.
New Patients
Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to complete paperwork. If you completed the paperwork at home still arrive 15-20 minutes early as insurance information must be entered into the system prior to your visit. The medications that you take are extremely important to get entered into the system accurately. If you are uncertain about any of your medications, bring your bottles.
Established Patients
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to update demographic information and health history including medication changes. We need you to review your medication list carefully for any changes at every office visit.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late for your appointment you may not be able to be seen and may be charged a short-notice cancellation fee. That time slot was reserved specifically for you and other patients are scheduled following your appointment. This decision is made on a case by case basis depending on the schedule that day.
Late Cancellation/No Show Fees
We require 24 hour advance notice of cancellation. A $45.00 fee will be applied to your account for short-notice cancellations or missed appointments. A second occurrence will result in a $90 fee. Patients who miss several appointments without calling may be discharged from our practice.
Payment
All insurance co-payments and ANY other account balances are due at the time of service.
